Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect the little we need to make the app work for you, we don’t sell it, we don’t track you across other apps or websites, and you can delete all of it yourself.
What we collect
If you buy a download on this site
- Your email address, so we can send your download link
- A record of what you bought and when
- If you opt in after checkout or on the app page, your email address for occasional updates about new guides and the app. This is separate from your purchase and always optional — unsubscribe any time from your account page, or by emailing us.
Card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers. We can see the last four digits and the amount on a receipt; we can’t see your card number.
If you sign in to view your purchases
Signing in works by email only — enter your address and we send a one-time link. There’s no password to create or store. Clicking the link sets a signed cookie proving it’s you; the link itself expires after 15 minutes and only works once.
If you use the iOS app
The app works immediately without an account, using an anonymous session. In that state we hold an anonymous identifier and nothing that identifies you.
What you give us, all optional and all editable in Settings:
- Your first name, and your partner’s first name if you enter it
- Your relationship stage, and whether you’re long distance
- The focus areas you pick, which decide what content surfaces first
- A daily reminder time, if you turn reminders on
- Your email address, if you create an account
What the app records as you use it:
- Your daily streak and the last day you opened the app
- Which studies you’ve started and finished
- Your purchase and subscription status, from Apple
If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever see the relay address Apple gives us.
What we don’t collect
- Your location
- Your contacts, photos, calendar, or health data
- Anything for advertising, and nothing is shared with data brokers
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites
What your partner can see
If you link with a partner using a share code, they can see your first name and your daily streak — the point of linking is that you can see whether the other person showed up. They cannot see your notes, reflections, or your email address. Either of you can unlink at any time in Settings.
Why we hold it
- To make the app work. Your name is how it greets you; your focus areas are how it decides what to show you first; your streak is the streak.
- To deliver what you paid for. Your email and purchase record are how you get your download and how we help when something goes wrong.
- To improve the app. We look at aggregate, non-identifying usage — for example, which onboarding step people stop at — so we can fix the parts that don’t work.
We do not use your personal information to train machine learning models.
Who processes it
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, and file storage
- Stripe — payments for website downloads
- Apple — App Store subscriptions and in-app purchases; Apple bills you directly and we never see your payment details
- Resend — sending sign-in links, download confirmations, and update emails
- Vercel — website hosting
Each of these only receives what it needs to do its job. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, for any purpose.
How long we keep it
Profile and streak data stays until you delete your account. Purchase records are kept for seven years, because tax rules require it. Download links expire after 30 days. Anonymous sessions with no personal data attached are cleared periodically.
Deleting your data
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. That permanently removes your profile, streak, partner link, and sign-in. It takes effect immediately. Note that it does not cancel an App Store subscription — you’ll need to do that in your Apple Account settings.
By email: write to faithfullytogether@gmail.com from the address on the account and we’ll delete everything within 30 days. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to correct it.
Children
Faithfully Together is intended for adults in a relationship and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we’ll remove it.
Where your data lives
Our providers store data on servers in the United States. If you use the service from elsewhere, your information is transferred there.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in Europe and the UK, and the CCPA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your information, and to object to certain processing. Email us and we’ll help; we won’t treat you differently for asking. We have never sold personal information and have no plans to.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above, and we’ll tell you in the app if the change is significant.
